Online Education Database (OEDb) provides the rankings of top online
universities and colleges every year. In the recent rankings Nova
Southeastern University is ranked as the Number One online university
with Regent University in second position and Champlain College in third
place overall.
Nova Southeastern University (NSU) took the top spot this year (moved up from 4th in the 2008 online university ranking, while Upper Iowa dropped from 1st to 4th position in this year's ranking. NSU is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also listed as one of the best distance learning graduate schools in the country by the Princeton Review. Its Law School was ranked 22nd for Legal Writing from U.S. News and World Report.
Regent University ranked 2nd overall. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and Association of Theological Schools. The university was rated 7th in the country for quality of life by the Princeton Review.
Champlain College is the Top 3 online college. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges. According to America's Best Colleges, published by U.S. News & World Report 2009, Champlain ranked 12th in the listing of "Best Baccalaureate Colleges in the North" which includes all the New England states, New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
